Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is Scenar Therapy?

Q

A

SCENAR is short for Self-controlling Energy Neuro Adaptive Regulator. SCENAR was originally designed for Russain cosmonauts and is now used in nearly all Russian hospitals and rehabilitation clinics including NASA. SCENAR and its protocols were developed by Yuri Gorfinkel (the physicist who was in charge of clearing up the Tchernobyl Disaster) and his colleague Sasha Revenko, a leading Russian professor of neurology who is also an incredible healer. I regularly attend his training seminars when he comes to Europe.

Is SCENAR Safe?

Q

A

SCENAR is licensed for use in the EU for pain relief; it is licensed by the British Standards Institute and carries a CE mark for pain relief. As the SCENAR impulse is similar to the body’s own nerve impulses, it is non-damaging and safe. However, it is recommended that people with cardiac pacemakers or those suffering from epilepsy or schizophrenia do not have this treatment, also pregnant women should not use it. It is however, safe to use on children and the elderly but the carotid arteries should be avoided. SCENAR has no known side effects.

How Does It Work?

Q

A

The SCENAR device emits electromagnetic signals or frequencies the aims of which are to stimulate the body’s own healing powers almost identical to the human nerve signal. These signals travel along special types of nerve fibres so called C-fibres to the brain. This results in generation of neuropeptides which rapidly accelerate healing and decrease pain. SCENAR treatment is an entirely non-invasive biofeedback device which does not involve either drugs or surgery. It is operated by placing the device directly on the skin, where it collects electromagnetic signals that are modified and sent back to the body. This is true biofeedback and what distinguishes it from TENS machines and other electrical therapies.

What Does SCENAR Feel Like?

Q

A

When the machine is placed on the skin, it is adjusted until a gentle, tingling sensation is felt. If it is switched on high energy levels it can feel like a massage. This feels great particularly on the back or any painful area. The pain relief impact is immediate. As the healing begins, the skin may redden or change colour in relation to the surrounding area and/or the sound of the machine may change as it passes over the point of pain. This is the start of the healing process and the initial treatment may take up to one hour. Once the area begins to change (e.g. the skin becomes less ‘sticky’, or it changes colour, or the tone of the machine changes) the SCENAR treatment is complete. Afterwards, you may feel an increase in energy, you may sleep better and generally feel more refreshed.

How Does SCENAR Therapy Help?

Q

A

Scenar trains the body to heal itself. Scenar therapy works at three levels: on the one hand it strengthens the immune system and provides relief for all kinds of pain; on the other hand it balances the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system so the body relaxes. It provides relief for:

• Chronic pain such as neck, shoulder and back pain
• Hip and knee and other joint pain
• Tennis and Golfer’s Elbow
• Headaches
• Sciatica
• Scoliosis
• Arthritis
• Allergies and skin disorders such as eczema
• Stress
• Neurological disorders
• Circulatory and respiratory problems
• Musculoskeletal and digestive problems
• Detoxification
• Lymph drainage
• Digestive issues
• Anti-ageing & rejuvenation
•. Lung issues incl. pneumonia
•. Inflammation across the body
•. Auto-immune dysfunctions

SCENAR is recognised as being particularly beneficial in the reduction of pain and inflammation and the improved and accelerated healing of wounds. Some people have also found it useful in encouraging increased energy and it is widely used by many world class sports teams and professionals to treat all manner of ailments. Clients often report an improved sense of well-being, improved appetite and better sleeping patterns following treatment.

Why Should I Try A SCENAR Treatment?

Q

A

SCENAR treatments can be enjoyed alongside other therapies and medical treatment, so if you have not been able to resolve your problem yet, then it is worth giving SCENAR a try. It is non-invasive and gentle, and there are no known side effects.

How Many Treatments Do I Need?

Q

A

This depends on the condition and the duration of the condition. If the condition is recent and acute around 6 sessions. If the condition is chronic and has been going on for several years between 10 - 15 sessions may be necessary.

Can I Combine SCENAR Therapy With Other Treatments?

Q

A

SCENAR can be used in conjunction with other therapies and conventional medicine.

How Does SCENAR Differ From Other Treatments?

Q

A

The difference between SCENAR and some other therapies, which may require you to have indefinite ongoing treatment, is that SCENAR takes the body through the healing cycle to completion. This means that once your treatment is finished, it is unlikely that you will need further treatment for the same problem.

How Does SCENAR Differ From Other Electrotherapies Such TENS?

Q

A

The SCENAR is very different from other electrotherapy such as TENS. TENS only stimulates A and B fibers and lack biofeedback capability. The SCENAR impulse has high amplitude so it stimulates C-fibers, which make up about 70% of all nerves in the body. This explains the speed and effectiveness of SCENAR therapy. Moreover, SCENAR impulses contain numerous random features to prevent the body from adapting to the stimulation, compared to TENS.
